PERSONAL STATEMENT

Since my childhood I have been working towards a career in the games industry. I am an effective team worker, with excellent communication skills and a strong work ethic. I have an analytical nature and enjoy problem solving. I am a quick learner, and am keen to prove myself in the industry.

WORK EXPERIENCE

2011-Present Depth Development Team - Environment Artist
I am working as an Environment Artist on the indie game 'Depth' which will soon be available via Steam. In 2010 Depth was nominated for the Players Choice Upcoming Indie Game award on ModDB (www.moddb.com)

2010-Present Blitz Games Studios 1UP QA Testing
Blitz Games often need volunteer testers for testing some of their games, I volunteer as a compatibility tester and test their games that they send via email and host on their FTP site.

2008-2009- Project Reality Mod Development Team - Environment Artist
I worked as an Environment Artist and a 3d Artist for Project Reality and I was on the contribution team when the mod won Mod of the Year via ModDB (www.moddb.com)

2009- Serious Games Institute
I spent 1 week at SGi testing Second Life, and doing small 3d Modelling tasks with a 3d Artist from SGi at their studio in Coventry technology Park

PERSONAL INTERESTS

Computer games of all types are my main love, both playing them and analysing them from a design and technical point of view. I have been closely involved in a number of mod projects and I enjoy learning new level editors and game engine architectures. I also like watching and analysing films, photography and 3d modelling.

ACHIEVEMENTS

I lived in Houston, Texas for six years and hold a US Green Card

I currently play Quarterback for the Great Britain American Football team

I am teaching myself German and have reached conversational level

I taught myself to play guitar and have been developing this skill for eight years.
